Easy tomato sauce is a robust tomato sauce you can make and have plenty for leftover meals throughout the week. A few easy ingredients combine to make an easy sauce that will have you choosing this over jarred sauce from now on!
-3 garlic cloves
-1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
-2 28oz cans tomato puree
-1 28oz can crushed tomato
-1 tablespoon garlic powder
-2 teaspoons onion powder
-1 teaspoon salt
-1/4 teaspoon pepper
1. Over medium heat, heat the extra virgin olive oil in a large pot and grate the garlic into the oil. Cook for 2 minutes, then add in both cans of tomato puree and the can of crushed tomatoes. Add the garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and salt and stir until full blended in the sauce.
2. Bring sauce to boil then cover and simmer until ready to eat! Recommended at least 1 hour. To serve, toss with cooked pasta and sprinkle with fresh mozzarella cheese.
