A fun twist on a smoked salmon breakfast, these Smoked Salmon Wraps are an easy and light recipe perfect for lunch or breakfast! The lemon cream cheese spread adds a welcomed hint of citrus with every bite.

Notes: While you fry up the capers you’ll make the lemon cream cheese and prep the cucumbers and onions. Then just assemble, lightly toast the wrap in a pan, then eat! I love this for a quick lunch.
This really is a perfect work from home lunch. You only need about 15 minutes from start to finish to make this!

Lemony cream cheese, salty capers, fresh cucumbers and that savory smoked salmon flavor…you’re getting all the right flavor notes with this wrap!

They get lightly browned, a little bit crispy for a nice little crunch and they become the perfect compliment to the cool cream cheese. I also use them in my Creamy Chicken Piccata and these Chicken Piccata Meatballs!
I like to assemble the wrap by first spreading the lemon cream cheese across the tortilla, then sprinkling the fried capers over top, then adding the cucumbers and red onions, and finishing it off with the smoked salmon.
Wrap this burrito style, so that the ends are closed and nothing and call out of the wrap on either side! If you’re not familiar with the method you can watch this quick video on how to wrap a burrito!
Basically you want to fold the left and right sides in (this is what will close off the ends), then start from the bottom and roll the whole tortilla.
Add this to a pre-heated pan and toast on each side for about 90 seconds! If the wrap begins to open you can use a pair of tongs to gently hold it closed as it toasts.

- Don’t salt the cream cheese spread. The fried capers and the smoked salmon are quite salty. Through recipe testing I found that adding salt to the cream cheese spread too was just way too much.
- When you toast the wrap, start with the seam-side down. When you flip to toast the other side if the wrap begins to fold open you can use a pair of tongs to gently hold it together and keep it from unraveling.

Smoked Salmon Wrap
An easy breakfast or lunch, these smoked salmon wraps are light and refreshing! A lemon cream cheese, cucumbers, red onions, smoked salmon and fried capers.

2 flour tortilla wraps, should measure 8″ across
10 ounce package of smoked salmon
1 large cucumber, peeled and cut into slices
1/2 of a red onion, sliced thin
2–3 tablespoons capers (or more if you are a big fan of capers)
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1. Fry the capers by heating the olive oil in a large pan over medium high heat. Add the capers and cover to minimize splatter. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the capers are browned and lightly crispy. Spoon them onto a paper towel lined plate to absorb excess oil.
2. While the capers are frying, make the lemon cream cheese. Soften the cream cheese by putting it in the microwave for about 8 seconds. Mix with the lemon juice, lemon zest, and pepper.
3. To assemble, spread the cream cheese onto the tortilla. Top with as many fried capers as you’d like, then as much cucumber and red onion as you’d like. Lastly, add a few pieces of smoked salmon. Fold into a burrito.
4. Heat the large pan over medium high heat, add the wraps seam-side down and cook about 90 seconds, flip then cook the other side for an additional 90 seconds until browned.
Don’t salt the cream cheese because the capers are very salty!
If the wrap begins to open as it’s toasting in the pan, you can use a pair of tongs to gently hold it closed.
