I don’t know about you, but I just love miniature bite-sized versions of foods. So let me introduce you to my cute little grilled cheese bites! Whether you make these for dinner, serve them to your kids, or add them to your party menu, these little bites will be a delicious hit!

grilled cheese bites on brown parchment paper with chopped parsley.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 8 cubes of cheese
  • 2 and 1/2 tablespoons of butter
stack of the bread slices with one cube of cheese on top on a white plate.

All you need is about 5 minutes of prep time and 15 minutes to bake them. These are also a great recipe that the kids can help with! The first time I tested these my daughter helped and it’s definitely a kid-friendly recipe.

I used sharp Cheddar cheese but you can have fun with these and try different cheeses for different variations! Pepper jack would be great for a spicy version!

And incase you were wondering, I wouldn’t recommend these as a make-ahead dish or storing these in the fridge. Grilled cheese bites are best served right away from the oven for the perfect cheesy texture. Since these only take about 5 minutes to get them in the over they are a super quick snack to whip up.

Ingredients

4 slices of bread
8 medium sized cubes of sharp Cheddar cheese
2 and 1/2 tablespoons butter, soften

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Trim the crusts off the bread then using a rolling pin, flatten each slice, then cut each slice in half. You’ll end up with 8 pieces of bread.

3. Place a cube of cheese into each slice of bread, then firmly seal closed. Place seam-side down onto the baking sheet. It’s ok if some cheese bakes out, but you want the majority to stay baked inside for super cheesy bites!

4. Generously coat each bite with the softened butter, then bake for 15 minutes.

Allow to cool for  a few minutes then serve with your dipping sauce of choice!
