Upgrade your summer hot dogs to these blue cheese and bacon hot dogs! Finish with your favorite sauce or mayo for the perfect bite.
6 beef hot dogs
6 hot dog buns
Blue cheese
Crumbled bacon, cooked
Finely diced chives
Mayo
1. Cook the hot dogs in a frying pan for 6-7 minutes until browned. Internal temperature should reach 165 degrees. Remove from the pan and allow to cool slightly.Â
2. Place the hot dog buns on a baking sheet and spread mayo on each side of the bun.
3. Carefully cut a slit down the center of the hot dogs. Stuff with as much blue cheese as you’d like, then add a hot dog to each bun. Top with crumbled bacon.
4. Place under the broiler for 1-2 minutes (watching closely!!) until the blue cheese has melted and the buns are toasted. Top with diced chives, any sauce you’d like, and enjoy! For my hot dogs I topped with BBQ mayo.
