This is the cocktail that’s perfect for a hot summer day. That cocktail that’s a refreshing sip while you’re sitting next to the pool or sitting on the deck. This limoncello cocktail is a bright and citrus forward cocktail that’s easy and a crowd pleaser!

Recipe at a Glance

Prep time: 5 minutes
Mixing time: 5 minutes
Notes: Just gather the ingredients, measure, shake, pour! A fast cocktail that doesn’t require any muddling or chopping.

Two rocks glasses with the limoncello cocktail on a grey cement board. Lemons scattered around. In the background a silver jigger and a grey floral print napkin.

What ingredients you need to make the cocktail

What I love about this cocktail recipe is that it’s easy, but the limoncello makes it a little special and adds such a refreshing twist! Here what you need to have:

  • Limoncello
  • Vodka
  • Lemonade
  • Club Soda
  • Ice

The tools required

Since this is a shaken drink and then poured into a glass with ice, you’ll need two tools:

  1. A shot glass or a jigger
  2. A cocktail shaker

See? That wasn’t so bad. A few ingredients, two tools and you’re on your way to a limoncello cocktail.

The ingredients for the cocktail displayed on a grey cement surface in front of a white subway tile background. From left to right the ingredients as displayed as a bottle of Simply Lemonade, a bottle of Svedka vodka, a bottle of limoncello, and a bottle of club soda. In the foreground a glass of the cocktail and several lemon slices.

How to make the drink

Shaking a cocktail is super easy! I love a shaken cocktail since it really chills it before you pour it into your glass. If you don’t normally shake a cocktail, after you drink this you may be wanting to have all your cocktails nicely shaken and chilled.

  1. Add 5-6 ice cubes into your cocktail shaker.
  2. Pour into the shaker 2 oz of limoncello, 2 oz of vodka, and 2 oz of lemonade. Shake vigorously for a few seconds.
  3. Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Top with club soda.
  4. Enjoy responsibly!

I hope you like this as much as I do. There’s something just so refreshing about a lemon drink and since there’s only 2oz lemonade in this it’s not overly sweet. You could also make a big pitcher of this and people can self serve so you’re not playing bartender throughout the whole get together! Or, I love to make a little recipe card and leave it next to the ingredients so your friends or family can easily mix up the drink themselves!

Here are a few snack ideas that would pair nicely with this cocktail!
Whipped Feta

Ingredients

2oz vodka
2oz limoncello
2oz lemonade
Club Soda
Ice

Instructions

1. Fill your shaker with about 5-6 ice cubes. Pour in the vodka, limoncello, and lemonade. Shake vigorously for a few seconds.

2. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and a few lemon slices.

3. Enjoy responsibly!

Notes

To strain into a glass with ice means that you’re not pouring the ice from the shaker into the glass. You want to pour the shaken drink over fresh ice for a refreshing sip!
